Hello, we’re Demetrius (D) and Jolene (Jo). D is a retired sailor and I’m his wife Jo, the daughter of a retired soldier. We’ve both been around the military most of our lives and I am so proud to be an Army brat and Navy wife.
The name of this blog is a nod to these experiences as the Post Exchange (PX) was always a favorite place to visit on base. (How can you beat tax-free shopping?!!) I even worked at a PX part-time for extra cash when I was a broke twenty-something living in DC, but ended up spending most of my paychecks there!
We started this blog as an outlet to post about our travel adventures, DIY projects, and some other randomness in our little piece of the world.
Most of our projects are around our “fixer upper” that we purchased a couple of years ago. D prefers focusing on the outdoors, while I’d rather stick to the inside.
